Experimental Typeface Design
Typeface based on Helvetica that is commonly used on street signs.
The inspiration came from seeing the lettering on parking and street signs distorted by the sun's heat.
I wanted to recreate the same effect in a controlled environment.
Adhesive letters were applied to a metal sheet and scratched on the edges.
After, a heat gun was used to melt the edges of the letters and create an unexpected distorted shape each time.
